Students strapped on their life-jackets and jumped aboard to try out white water rafting today.
Pupils from Copthall School in Pursley Road, Mill Hill, enjoyed a trip to Lee Valley White Water Centre in Waltham Cross as part of a schools festival.
The festival, organised by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, was a chance for hundreds of young people to paddle in the wake of Team GB’s successful Olympians.
Shaun Dawson, chief executive of Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, said: “Young people are at the heart of the authority’s legacy commitment and Lee Valley White Water Centre schools festival enables us to engage with the community and give students a taste for what happened on their doorstep last year.”
