A large rubbish fire next to the North Circular Road is causing delays to rush hour commuters this afternoon.
One lane remains closed Eastbound between the A4088 (Neasden Interchange) and junction 1 of the M1 (Staples Corner) as a result of the blaze, which is now under control.
Congestion is tailing back to the A4005 Hanger Lane (North Circular Road) and the Hanger Lane Gyratory System and travel time is about 30 minutes.
A total of 21 firefighters in four engines from Willesden, West Hampstead, Hendon and Finchley dealt with the large pile of refuse that had caught fire.
Crews were called at 3.18pm and had the flames under control by 16.28pm.
No-one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
