Children at a Finchley primary school will be looking forward to trips a little more after the school was given sponsorship to help pay for a new minibus.
Chalgrove Primary School received donations from outside bodies to pay for the 14-seater bus, which will be used for sports trips and school outings.
The Friern Barnet Education Trust, a charitable organisation providing funding to schools in the area, and Crabtree Property Management, a Finchley-based business, provided cash to buy the vehicle.
Their contributions meant the Chalgrove Gardens school was able to afford the private transport, which left headteacher Jennifer Gaffney “delighted”.
She said: “The minibus will make a big difference to the school and make taking part in competitions, events and local trips much easier.”
