A new site for the Sacks Morasha Jewish Primary School is “the start of a great future" for the North Finchley community, according to parents and governors.
Pupils had lessons in their new school building, in Stanhope Road, on Monday following a move from temporary premises in Moss Hall Grove and Kinloss Synagogue.
The school has grown from a Reception class of just seven when it first opened in 2008 to 113 pupils across five classes.
Chair of Governors Jason Marantz said: “We are incredibly excited to move into our amazing new school building.
“The pupils, parents and staff at Sacks Morasha are deeply grateful to the hard work of all the trustees and donors who made this possible, especially Jeremy Newman who led the building project with such diligence and attention to detail.”
The orthodox Jewish school’s new premises includes seven classrooms, an outdoor playground and a multi-purpose hall for sports and assemblies.
Nic Abery, a mother of two children at Sacks Morasha said: “The new Stanhope Road building is an inspiring place for our children to learn and grow. We are very lucky to have such a beautifully designed school. This is the start of a great future for the Finchley community.”
