A mass brawl in Finchley Central earlier this morning left five men injured – three of them critically.

Between ten and 15 men are believed to have been involved in the altercation outside La Gogu bar, on the corner of Nether Street and Ballards Lane, at 5am.

At least five men were injured in the fight and police say two of them, aged 25 and 27, have been left with “life threatening or life changing injuries”.

Another man, aged 32, suffered a deep arterial wound and was taken to hospital suffering blood loss.

Two more men were checked over at the scene by paramedics and were taken to hospital with more minor injuries.

Nether Street remains cordoned off this morning between Ballards Lane and Crescent Road and forensics officers and community support officers remain at the scene.

A blood-stained zip-up jacket remains on the floor outside La Gogu bar and restaurant, where a window has been smashed.

No arrests have yet been made in what police officers described as a “violent and horrific” attack shortly before rush hour this morning.

Injuries sustained by the men included head wounds to the 27-year-old and chest injuries to the 25-year-old, both of whom were taken to hospital, where they remain.

Police say they believe the men involved are of Eastern European descent.
