Walkers will be able to explore the hidden places of Friern Barnet and raise money for a mental health charity this Sunday.

The guided walk, which will start at Friern Barnet Library, will take in the parks, open spaces and woods around Friern Barnet.

Higlights of the four-mile walk will be the Monet-style bridge in the old hospital grounds and tea and home-made cakes in Coppets Wood.

Donations will be taken for the annual Mental Health Awareness Week, which ends on Sunday.

Organised by the Mental Health Foundation, the theme of this week is the positive impact of exercise on mental health.

The walk will leave the library at 12.30pm and will be led by Mike Gee. For more information contact Mr Gee on 0208 346 5503.
