A north London charity is opening its doors to epilepsy sufferers during an awareness-raising week that starts on Monday.

Epilepsy Action provides support and advice to the thousands of people living with the condition in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey.

The charity’s north London branch, at Trinity Church Hall, in Tally Ho Corner, North Finchley, is hosting a special session on Monday for sufferers to help manage stress and anxiety during National Epilepsy Week.

Barbara Penney, chairman of the North London Branch, said: “Epilepsy Action branches can offer invaluable help to people living with epilepsy and their families, friends and carers.

"National Epilepsy Week is the perfect time for anyone who has not yet discovered the branch, to come down and find out what we’re all about.

“They can meet others, support each other and take part in social events. We have information for people to take away, which is available in many community languages.”
