Two men from the Finchley area have been arrested after a serious assault in a Watford fast food restaurant.
Police were called to McDonald's in High Street after the incident at 2.58am on Saturday.
The restaurant was sealed off throughout Saturday morning as forensic teams searched the premises for evidence.
A 30-year-old man was later taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London with serious head injuries.
Alexander McCarthy, 22, of Finchley Road, is currently in custody having been charged with causing GBH, affray, theft and an offence relating to the Identity Documents Act 2010.
Two others, a 32-year-old from Finchley and a 20-year-old man from Ruislip, have also been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the attack.
Both have been bailed until June 6.
