Former pupils at an Edgware school are invited to get together and remember the good old days.

People who attended Downer Grammar School between 1950 and 1975 are invited to attend a reunion next Saturday.

The event will run from 2pm until 8pm at the school's former site in Shaldon Road, which has since been renamed Canons High School.

Those attending the reunion will be welcomed to the school by current head teacher Ms Lynn Rowlands and will have the chance to tour the school site.

Former classmates will then be able to swap stories and reconnect over light refreshments and wine provided by the school’s caterers.

Former pupil Ronald Pole said: “The school is greatly supporting the event. We would love to see ex pupils there and meet up with old colleagues.”

Those interested in attending the reunion can register their interest online. People who register by May 14 will have priority parking in the car parks around the school and will have their names displayed on a big screen during the welcome speeches.
