Normally they count up money, but an firm of accountants helped a charity reach an even grander total when it handed over a cheque for £10,000.
RO Group, based in Wyllyotts Place, Potters Bar, collected the money for Marie Curie Cancer Care through various fundraisers held over the past 12 months.
Company chairman Richard Rowlandson handed a cheque to a Marie Curie representative last week.
The charity, which provides care to terminally ill patients at home or in one of its hospices, said it was “delighted” with the donation.
