Former Apprentice contestant Gabrielle Omar is limbering up to run a marathon in aid of a deaf-blind charity.
Gabrielle, 30, who lives in Edgware, was inspired to take on the gruelling 26-mile challenge to raise money for Sense after hearing about its work from fellow Apprentice star Adam Corbally.
Gabrielle visited the charity's Anne Wall Centre in Barnet where she met some of the people supported by Sense at the day centre, which has a gym and art room as well as spa facilities and an allotment.
She said: “It's a pleasure to lend my support to the charity to help it achieve its vision and help the many deafblind people in the UK to be full and active members of society. Being an architect, I'm all about being creative, innovative and getting the best results I can.”
Gabrielle is aiming to raise £2,000 for the charity when she completes the Virgin London Marathon on April 21.
