Mill Hill actor Patrick Troughton features in a collection of stamps released by Royal Mail today to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who.
To mark the occasion eleven stamps depict the actors who have played the Doctor over the years, including Mr Troughton who was second in line to play the renowned role.
Mr Troughton was born in Mill Hill in 1920 and grew up in the area attending Mill Hill School, before going on to become an actor. He starred in the hit television programme for three years, and died in 1987 in the USA.
