MP James Clappison dropped in on charity that brightens the lives of struggling families.
The Hertsmere politician visited volunteers from Home Start Potters Bar, Radlett and Borehamwood in Shakespeare Drive, Borehamwood, to find out about the work they do.
He listened to how the volunteers offer friendship and informal support to parents with young children, to help them overcome death, illness and isolation.
Charity workers also help families facing multiple births, to help the parents give their children a better start in life.
Mr Clappison said: “I would like to pay tribute to all the marvellous work done by Home Start and I give my personal thanks to all their volunteers.”
