Opera singers hit a high note with schoolchildren in Hendon this week.

The English National Opera performed an excerpt from the opera The Magic Flute accompanied by a full orchestra when they visited students at Whitefield School in Claremont Road on Wednesday.

Secondary schools from across the borough attended the event, which was hosted by CBBC presenter Kristen O’Brien.

Students also took part in a variety of workshops to learn about the different parts of the orchestra and their roles.
