Budget hotel chain Travelodge has revealed plans to build two new hotels in Barnet.
With hotels already operating in Cricklewood and Whetstone, Travelodge is keen to build its new developments in Edgware and Golders Green.
The company says their plans, if successful, will create 40 jobs and more than £4million for the local economy.
Grant Hearn, Chief Executive of Travelodge Hotels, said: “It is clear that the outer London boroughs have a lack of good quality, affordable hotel accommodation. Many have large employment clusters and impressive regeneration proposals yet have an undersupply of hotel rooms.
“Our target locations in Barnet are all suitable for a Travelodge hotel and we hope to be able to make further announcements about specific sites soon.”
