A “common sense” parking solution has been delivered for customers wanting to collect packages from the Royal Mail office in Edgware.
Following months of complaints, Barnet council has taken the double yellow lines from the whole of one side of Old Rectory Gardens.
The new parking conditions, implemented three weeks ago, allow for approximately seven cars to park for 20 minutes free of charge which enables customers to pick up parcels without fear of getting a ticket.
Lisa Paris has been lobbying the council for the past 12 months over the issue she previously said left her incensed.
She said: “It has taken months of emails but I’m glad that common sense has prevailed.”
