A hospice in Finchley is encouraging people to host a fundraising event in aid of the charity next month.
Schools, business and residents can get involved in North London Hospice Week from March 4 to 10.
Schools can hold a Dress Down Day, charging pupils and staff £1 each to wear non-uniform clothing for the day, but other events could include cakes sales, quiz nights and coffee mornings.
The hospice's chief executive Douglas Bennett, said: “During these challenging economic times we need the support of the local community more than ever. Whatever you choose to do this hospice week, you can be sure you are making a difference to the lives of local people and their loved ones who depend upon the free caring services we provide.”
The hospice in Woodside Avenue will also host a coffee morning on Friday March 8 from 10am until 12.30pm.
