A sculptor put on a charity Christmas Gift Fair in memory of her mother last weekend.
Linda Zeff hosted the event at her art studio in Oxford Gardens, Whetstone, on Saturday and Sunday, raising £3,500 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The charity supported Ms Zeff and her mother Helen, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease in the last four years of her life.
Ms Zeff, who lives in Whetstone, said: “The charity was there for us when we didn’t know where to turn.
“My mum got to the point when she couldn’t tell the difference between night and day. It’s hard when you see your loved ones change and we couldn’t have managed without the help of the Alzheimer’s Society.”
Ms Zeff had enlisted the help of family and friends who helped man a variety of stalls.
Her nieces Chloe Arnold and Jodie Bloom baked cupcakes and cookies, her daughter Laura Allen sold raffle tickets and cakes and her friends offered a variety of jewellery, cooking oils, sculptures and homemade jams.
Local businesses also donated dozens of gifts for a raffle which included an iPod Touch, a flat screen television, cameras, jewellery and a Kindle.
Ms Zeff said: "It was absolutely brilliant. We had a constant stream of people and there was a really nice atmosphere."
In total Ms Zeff has raised more than £5,500 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
