After 13 tranquil years, Jim and Marsha’s marriage is on the wane. But their routine is shattered when Jim’s old flame Wanda comes to visit, causing chaos at every opportunity. As the couples’ lives are overturned – can their relationship survive?
Wanda’s Visit is a comic one-act play by acclaimed American playwright Christopher Durang, directed at the New End Theatre by Kenneth O’Toole.
Following a six-month residency as part of the theatre’s young directors programme, Kenneth hopes to capture the politics of marriage and desire for freedom in this, his cumulative directing project.
Wanda’s Visit is at the New End Theatre, Hampstead from March 22 to April 2 at 6.45pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Details: 0870 033 2733
