Murray Schisgal’s poignant Georgia Avenue comes to the New End theatre next week. In the course of his marriage breakdown, Marty returns to the Jewish Brooklyn of his youth.
In the apartment where he was born, he encounters current tenant Joseph whose father was janitor of the once thriving synagogue. As connections and truths are uncovered the two men gradually find solace in this one-act play about memory, mindset and the power of the past.
Wednesday, March 9 to Saturday, March 19 at the New End Theatre, 27 New End, Hampstead. Details: 0870 033 2733
