Folk singer Emily Smith brings her UK tour to artsdepot next week.
As a songwriter Emily, who won BBC Radio Scotland’s Young Traditional Music of the Year Award in 2002, has been likened to “a Scottish Joni Mitchell”.
She has released three solo albums and her fourth, Traiveller’s Joy, launched last month. This new release features songs written on the road throughout 2010 alongside traditional material sourced from the travelling people of Scotland.
Saturday, February 19, 7.30pm at artsdepot, Nether Street, Tally Ho Corner, North Finchley. Details: 020 8369 5454, www.artsdepot.co.uk
