Brothers of the Brush is Radlett Art Society’s next lecture.
Sian Walters will examine the double lives of artist monks in 15th Century Florence – men who lived an austere and cloistered experience and yet rose to become some of the most respected and successful artists of their time, not only as painters of devotional works, but as highly active figures outside their monasteries, with reference to particular works on display at the National Gallery.
Thursday, March 10, 7.30pm for 8pm at The Radlett Centre, Aldenham Avenue, Radlett
