To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Anschluss, the annexation of Austria by Nazi Germany in March 1938, the London Jewish Cultural Centre will show the exhibition Double Exposure: Jewish Refugees from Austria in Britain.

This exhibition celebrates the lives of Jewish refugees from Austria who settled in the UK, among them the violinist Norbert Brainin, the photographer and cameraman Wolf Suschitzky, the dance teacher Stella Mann, and the composer Joseph Horowitz. The portraits depict each interviewee in a moment of conversation, seen through the viewfinder of a video camera.

Each portrait is accompanied by a short quotation from the interview (with a German translation) and by old family photographs, filmed at the time of the interview.
