Barnet youngsters Justin Nwogu and Charlie Kennedy have joined National League South side Hayes & Yeading on loan for a month with the hope they can emulate Harry Taylor’s progress.
Taylor, who captained the Bees’ Under-18s to the league title last season, has recently returned to The Hive from a successful loan spell at Hampton & Richmond Borough.
He has regularly been involved in the first team since and played the final 20 minutes of the goalless draw at Stevenage at fortnight ago.
Head coach Martin Allen believes winger Nwogu, who made his first team debut against York City in October, and centre-back Kennedy can benefit from loan spells at Step Two.
He told Bees Player: “Both of those lads have done really well. Justin made his debut earlier in the season here [at The Hive].
“I thought it was a good time for them to get out and play some men’s football – like what Harry Taylor did earlier in the season.
“They’ve only gone for a month but hopefully they will get some game under their belts, come back here and push into the team for the rest of the season.”
