Barnet head coach Edgar Davids admits he will miss further away games this season and says he doesn’t have to explain his reasons for not attending matches.
Davids has been absent on two occasions this season. He missed the Bees' 2-1 win at Gateshead and their 2-1 defeat against FC Halifax Town last weekend.
Staff at Halifax were told Davids would not be attending matches that required the team to stay overnight.
When asked why he did not attend last weekend’s defeat, Davids replied: “I don’t have to explain anything to anybody. I don’t have to discuss it. There will be matches when I am not there and so be it. This is what I have spoken about with the chairman. That it is.”
Davids confirmed Ulrich Landvreugd and Dick Schreuder will take charge of the side when he is absent and added: “They do the job very well. They have done it before and they can do it all season.”
