A DANCE teacher from Mill Hill entertained X Factor judges with his “fun” audition, securing a place in the second round of the infamous singing competition.
Francis Cardoso, 38, wowed the crowd with his dance moves as he sang his version of Enrique Iglesias’ Tonight I'll be Loving You.
X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos said: “I think he is like marmite and I would spread him all over my toast.”
Kelly Rowland said he was “fun”, Louis Walsh gave him top marks for effort and Gary Barlow said he loved Mr Cardoso’s dancing, but not his singing.
The Latin jazz dance teacher was born in Venezuela and has lived in Mill Hill for three years with his wife, Yvonne Cardoso, 38, and their two children Erico, 16, and Evan, four.
He has worked on a TV chat show in Portugal, teaching viewers basic dance moves and hopes his exposure on X-Factor will help make him a superstar.
He said: “I love my daily job but it’s not what I want to do forever – I want to make my living performing and be on stage before I’m too old.”
Kelly, Tulisa and Louis voted to see Mr Cardoso go through to boot camp which will be shown on ITV in the coming weeks.
