THREE Potters Bar councillors who stood for re-election yesterday have held their seats.
Cllrs Ronald Morris, Robert Calcutt, and Paul Hodgson-Jones were all returned to Hertsmere Borough Council this afternoon with comfortable majorities.
They are among 11 Tories who have been returned to the council, including Cllrs Leslie Winters and Carey Keates who wiped the last remaining Lib Dems off the authority.
The other notable results were in Borehamwood, where Cllr Ernie Butler held off the challenge of Tory Rabbi Alan Plancey, and his son Richard Butler defeated Penny Swallow to take a seat off the Conservatives for Labour.
The make-up of the council is now 35 Conservatives and four Labour members.
