WANNABE photographers have a chance to see their work decorating empty wall space on Burnt Oak Library.
The Watling Avenue facility is set to be decorated with a mosaic of pictures from local residents of areas in the borough which are special to them, such as parks and buildings.
Youngsters at the Connexions holiday programme during the February half term will be asked to design the piece, which will hang over the main entrance of the library to welcome visitors.
Councillor Andrew Harper, cabinet member for education: "Burnt Oak has such a fantastic mix of cultures, a large range of independent traders coupled with a number of open spaces, which will provide a wealth of interesting and vibrant images for the project.
"With the help of keen photographers in the borough, those young people will be able to produce a long lasting and prominent art piece for the whole community to be proud of."
Pictures can be submitted for consideration at www.flickr.com/groups/burntoakmontage and all images must be high resolution and in a Jpeg format.
For more information about the competition, which closes on February 11, or if you would like to take part in the February Project, please contact 020 8359 3137.
