A FUND has been set up in memory of a dedicated charity volunteer and mother-of-three who died suddenly last month.
Thousands of pounds have already been raised after Edgware woman, Jenny Morhaim, died from a bleed into her brain caused by a burst blood vessel.
Tributes have poured in for the 27-year-old former Immanuel College and Hasmonean Girls School pupil, who volunteered for Hendon-based charities GIFT and Aish UK.
Naftali Schiff, founder of GIFT and chief executive of Aish, said: “Jenny was the sweetest, gentlest, most giving of people. She was a deeply feeling, empathetic, spiritual and giving person.
“Jenny personified giving as a deep seated part of her personality. Jenny gave with her smile, Jenny gave with her listening, Jenny gave with her care and compassion to all.”
Together with her husband Josh, they helped with campaigns and delivering donations to needy members of the community.
More than one thousand people attended her memorial service in Edgware before she was laid to rest in Israel alongside her late mother.
She leaves her husband and three daughters.
More than £50,000 has so far been raised in Jenny’s name to help GIFT in its work providing food and support.
Hundreds have left messages on a JustGiving page set up to accept donations, and Mr Schiff said: “The incredible thing about it was its spontaneity and the level of donation.
“It wasn't wealthy people donating large donations, it was younger people giving what they could. This was quintessentially Jenny.
“We are privileged to be able to facilitate such a wonderful ongoing project of pure goodness and giving in Jenny's pure memory.
“Her light will shine on brightly in so many homes that partake of the Jenny Morheim GIFT Project.”
Her husband Josh said: "The response to Jenny’s passing has been a genuine care for me, my children and the whole family, and I would like to express my deepest thanks to the community.
"Jenny and I had a beautiful, deeply loving relationship and I know that the world is a better place with love.
"It is comforting for us to see that so many people have been touched and uplifted by the stories of Jenny's genuine warmth and pure sincerity. "Jenny was a truly remarkable woman during her life and has been a source of inspiration to thousands worldwide in her passing."
