MEETINGS will recommence tonight at the newly refurbished Hendon Town Hall.
The annual meeting of Barnet Council is the first to be held at the site in The Burroughs for more than a year.
The £1 million upgrade has included a new wedding room, the restoration of two original committee rooms and the building of a third one.
Other changes include a new lift and toilet facilities for disabled visitors, as well as hearing loops for the hard of hearing.
At tonight’s meeting Councillor Brian Coleman will take up the role as Mayor of Barnet and elections will take place within the three parties to appoint their respective leaders.
The meeting starts at 7pm.
Building work has not been fully completed and further meetings will still be held at Barnet House, in High Road, Whetstone.
