A LOCAL police inspector was rewarded during Chanukah celebrations last week for his work with the safer neighbourhood team in Barnet.
Shomrim North West Community Patrol honoured Inspector Terry Fowler on behalf of the Orthodox Jewish Community in Barnet for his dedication and community engagement as part of the South Sector SNT.
The emergency support unit held a ceremony at the Pillar Hotel, Brent Street, on Tuesday, December 20, attended by more than 20 community members.
Barnet Police Borough Commander, Chief Superintendant Neil Seabridge took part in the ceremony, lighting the Menorah and other guests included Hendon MP Matthew Offord, Finchley and Golders Green MP Mike Freer and Barnet councillors.
Detective Inspector Mat Shaer, chairman of the Jewish Police Association, was also presented with an appreciation award during the ceremony.
