A 29-year-old who has been charged with murdering a woman whose body was found in a suitcase will go on trial today.
Laszlo Gyarmati, of Station Road, Finchley, previously pleaded not guilty to murdering fellow Hungarian national, Alexandra Kovacs.
The 25-year-old’s body was discovered in a suitcase in woods alongside Dollis Brook in Thornfield Avenue, Mill Hill, on Sunday July 21, last year.
Mr Gyarmati has been remanded in custody and will stand trial at the Central Criminal Court. The trial is expected to last no longer than two weeks.
