A performing arts school has hailed the end of a “fantastic” year after raising more than £4,000 for a cancer charity.
Children from Al Pascal Music, in Warwick Road, New Barnet, took to the stage to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Singers as young as seven did not late stage fright put them off as they performed in front of hundreds of parents.
Managing director Alexander Paschali said: “They put all their energy into it, they really gave it their all and I’m so proud of them.
“Concerts like these ones build the confidence of the children. The atmosphere was amazing, there was such a buzz.”
The event, held over two days at the All Saints Arts Centre, Oakleigh Road North, also featured a face painter, a circus performer and mulled wine.
CBBC and Nickelodeon presenter Nigel Clark and an ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust also visited the event.
Earlier this year a similar open-mic night raised £300 - but this time around the school raised £3,850 bringing its total to £4,150.
Mr Paschali added: “It’s so nice seeing children working for teenagers who are suffering - this is teaching them to help others.
“I also want to thank the teachers. They put a lot of extra time and hard work in for nothing for the charity. They’re brilliant.
“This event was a great way to toast the end of a fantastic year.”
